F-ing Vdub forums are p1ssing around with signups n stuff.
Basically, got a set of RS8 replicas, 17" going on a golf Mk4. Its a 1.6, and when changing the fronts were catching just on the bottom of the calipers.
I need some 5mm spacers, but are being shafted by great customer serive from Big Boys Toys. Does anyone know of anything in NW kent where I can get some 5 stud spacers today?
Do Halfrauds or Motorworld or anything like that sell them? Just need a set of 5mm for the front.

Ahh righty, that'll do, i'll pop down there.
Nahhh Icy, its Dons lil bros new car, don't wanna take a grinder to it yet Would prefer some spacers, plus it'll look more pimped, and when he lowers it eventually, we can get some wider spacers for the rear, proper pimp style.
Have the wheels set like this then. Pimpin.

Am i the only one thats concerned about the handling/dynamics of the car by slapping on spacers willy nilly?

Yes.
This has been tried and tested many a time, including on the car i've pictured.
Spacers will cause tramlining. Not much worse than putting a different offset alloy on the car.
Gonna pop to halfruads, see what the quality is like.
