alright guys,
what are they likely to ask me? It's working for a multimedia company, but i've been told it'll be quite informal, so im guessing the general interests, reasons why i want the job/what i want to gain, current skills etc?

They will ask what you have done is different roles - just to see if you are suitable.

i don't understand phone interviews, could be anyone on the end of the line

i'd imagine they'll ask you why you want to work for them, what is it that interests you in this particular job etc and what are your attributes.

Had one the other day and passed

Basically asked me about myself why i wanted to work for the company etc.

Then, asked me on the spot questions about situations in which i've dealt with in work and how i've dealt with them (test your ability to handle certain situation etc.)

Then i was given loads of information about the company, wrote down as much as i could, and was then quized on what i'd been told, and had to answer accordingly.

It finished with feedback from the assessor, and that was that, back in for an interview on wednesday.

Keep your cool, hope this helps

cheers guys, it's for a placement year to gain some experience outside uni and i've be accepted for an interview but they want to do a phone interview as well. The actual role is a bit of everything, from 2D/3D design, to folio/audio work, to video work (and paper work), as well as website maintance etc.

I've researched the company to the extent of, what they do (virtual gaming content for x and y platforms etc), share prices, the groups acquisitions (of 3D studios), their clients (should i research the clients actual products?).

Anything else that may help?

I had a phone interview with CPP once. They said they would phone me back in 10 minutes and wanted me to sell them a holiday. So I went on Teletext and wrote loads of prices and destinations down. At the end the woman was really impressed (so she said!) and said they would phone back at 4 if I had a second interview. They never phoned back. Figures.

Since found out its rubbish there anyway

If they ask you a question which you really can't answer on the spot, fake a dropped phone line then call em' back once you've got your act together
