Think im possibly going off my head but im thinking an old Land Rover Discovery would maybe be fun

Parents had one, was worse than the freelander they have now and that was uninspiring at best.

They are expensive to run. Be fun if you used it off road. Cant imagine it being fun on the road.

not so much fun but very comfy to drive and lots of space 7 seats ect. i had an n reg 2.5tdi did about 30 to a £5 .i towed a few cars and didnt even notice i was pulling them

looking for another now as i need a good family car and regreted selling my last one

Im sure I could manage to take it off the road aswell, plenty fields around here to drive through, mounting curbs would be nice too & I can leave it lying around abandoned without fear some wee scrotes going to tamper with it

the deisel is not thet expensive to run will do 25-30 to a gallon

Whats 30 to a fiver in mpg terms??

Im going to be travelling into the city center for a while, lots of slow driving, sitting at 70 on Mway, stuck in traffic, parking it in a dodgy area, not even sure if theres a car park of if its going to be abandoned while im there. Trying to suss out the car for the cause

30 to a £5 was mainly town local driving a gallon is about £4 so roughly 25 miles a gallon

tax is same as 1.6 car on older 4x4s about 90 for 6 months

there not that slow for size of them and will sit at 80-90 on motorway comfortable

colin my friends cousion got a disco for 20 quid about a month ago to commute and go offroad in.

it takes whatever he puts it through and has still been reliable to use for work etc. its a noisy old slow heap, but does everything he needs it do including off road abuse, lugging stuff etc
