Went to my local motorfactors and got 5l of this oil... Is it the wrong stuff for a 1996 1.4 16v sport.. I thought i needed 10w 40 semi. I'm confused on the whole matter. If its the wrong stuff i will take it back and exchange it. it says on the bottom of the tub. ACEA A3, B3, API SL/CF wtf is that?
I also bought an oil filter but do i need to buy a sump plug washer? car has done 116k miles now if that also helps any
Thanks and any help appreciated,

Not too sure on the mineral bit. I use semi synthetic in mine. not sure of the difference TBH.
With the mileage on the car, 15/40 will keep it quiet on start up.
I would buy a sump plug washer, there not much, 50p or so.

Just had a quick browse, and it seems mineral oil needs to be changed more often, and semi or fully gives quiter operation.
Where's Dave A when you need him
