Personaly i would have taken the weights off the wheels before painting and had them re balanced, next time you get new tyres and your wheels are balanced there will be a sliver bit where the old weight was

I didn't have time to be worrying about wheel weights as I needed them done for Modded UK. It'll be fine!

Glad people like them.

they can be balanced with that weights still on it, and stick on weights used on the inside of the wheel

balanced/counter balanced doesnt really matter

Had time to kill today so thought I'd paint my calipers as been meaning to do them for ages. Was gonna do them black but thought I'd give gold a go and see what they looked like. I like them!

Not really an update, but Rally Slag

Only real bits I've done lately is trying to sort out rattles and missing lights in dash etc. Needs 2 new wheels really, one is curbed to fuck and the other one had a screw snapped in the centercap hole (Willay?) and can't figure out a way of getting the centercap to fit without falling off, so be easier getting an original one again.

Also need a new front left arch as it went flying down the A2

Thinking of buying 4 new ones for around £30 off eBay and spraying them gloss black to see what it's like.

Right, should be getting 2 new wheels from fro-dizzle as 2 of mine are buggered, will have to spray them white too. Probably put a fresher coat on the other 2 aswell or it'll look out of place.

Today I went to Vauxhall, bought a front arch, cheaper to buy directly from Vauxhall than from eBay . Also bought some center cap bolts with the key, as I was originally using an allen key.

I also painted my brake calipers and drums black as I didn't like the gold.

Coming should be a standard airbox and parcel shelf, as I have the crappest shittest air filter in the world right now, and the parcel shelf has gay 6 x 9 holes. Will be getting a pipercross panel filter to put in the airbox and perhaps drill it, will look into this at the time though. Also may be getting a boot lid which will also have to be resprayed white, to get rid of the rust patches I currently have on mine.

Erm...front strut brace should be on the way soon, perhaps a rear ARB if I can get a good deal.

Then roll on 2008 when I'll have a years no claims and hopefully a work hack so I don't have to drive this everyday, and the real modding can begin

Sorry only just seen this.

It's alright. Needs a few little bits sorted.

I got some de-locked handles to fit, and an SRi steering wheel to put on it, as I'm fed up with the horn not working. Also got a new bootlid with no rust to get sprayed as current one is getting worse. Got to replace the front left arch and the rear drivers arch as clips are all broken. Needs 2 new alloys ideally as one is really kurbed and the other won't keep the centercap on.

Other bits are just things like washer jet level too high, front light height adjustment. Just general maintenance so nothing to right home about.

Haven't really done much modifying due to bits going wrong and needing repaired. Not had the best bit of luck with it lately and doing 100 miles a day for work is killing it. Hopefully not for too much longer though.

Got 4 new tyres on Saturday and they rule, car grips so much better.

Fitted my de-locked handles at last:

You have to change these 'stalks' over to the de-locked handles as the Corsa ones are longer to reach the lock mechanism.

Done

Much better.

Got a Punto wiper of shauny_bizzle's crashed GSi, spur of the moment buy.

Standard:

Punto:

Fairly happy with it now. Getting a new windscreen tomorrow hopefully as mine got cracked in the cold weather. I also put a standard airbox on there and it feels like it pulls alot better, certainly alot quieter and I much prefer the sound of it now. Still in 2 minds whether to keep it or not once my insurance runs out in February, so don't want to spend too much on it just incase, but we shall see.

Bit that really does need sorting out though:

Been quoted £120 so far to spray a bootlid (Got a red one in the garage rust free from PICK4D) but haven't shopped around at all.
