almost 100% scam to me but how does it work?
He's selling his dads car on the internet.
He's had a bloke 'very interested' in it......he seems to be asking all the right questions, seems to have internet presence on other sites etc.
He's asked for the account number and sort code to transfer the money (car is in Ireland)
So where is the catch?
My guess is a stupid attempt at the card code next

sort code and account number are fine imo... (thats all they will need)
ask for bankers draft?
if in doubt call the bank in question

Seriously its not me asking.
My mate is selling his dads car which is in NI, and he (the seller in question) could be anywhere (works world wide)
The buyer is in England (or so he claims)

cant do all that much with account number and sort code, every time you give someone a cheque your giving them your account details anyway
