i know this is my first post and im asking about tuning my new car already pick it up in a few weeks so was just wondering what was available for it, dont want big loud exhausts, just more power but with standard looks and sound. i also want to keep the original engine so no swaps, its an 04 with low mileage about 18k. so whats available and what could i end up with power wise? its 89bhp standard aint it?

thanks in advance

Welcome.

Wouldnt have thought there were that many mods that keep standard sounds/looks.

Air filter/TB's/Exhaust all change the sound and looks. Maybe getting it chipped or something, but i dont have a clue.

If you havent even got it yet, drive it until your bored of the power. IMO the 1.4SRi are great little nippy cars.

Next i would get a K&N panel filter and a cat back exhaust with the irmscher backbox as the note is just nice IMO.

there are turbo conversions on ebay

but will be cheaper and more reliable to stick a c20let in there

turbo conversion from regal works out at about £4000 and much better results from a c20let, I know this sounds obvious but if you want more power, buy a faster car, maybe consider the SRi 1.8 or something else. Oh and welcome to the site mate

i did but this 1.4 took my eye and the deals done now, i have a fast car, this is just a runaround but id like it to have a wee bit of poke. would a 2.2 drop straight in or does it need much work? £4k to turbo the 1.4 that sounds a bit steep.
