Hi,
I have recently being trying to get all 4 of my 2004 corsa-c standard alloys replaced under warranty as they all have begun to corrode around the valve holes from the inside out. In my mind, this is a manufacturing fault and therefore isn't fault of my own, but vauxhall are trying to squirm their way out of it by saying it's all my fault.
They're saying that as i've had 2 tyres replaced due to puncture that whoever replaced them must have put the wrong valve sheaths on and this has reacted with the alloys and hence corrosion - they believe this even though the non-replaced tyres have the same valve sheaths from the factory and are therefore standard on these alloys.... The old "I haven't seen these on a corsa before and i've worked here for 10 years" crap - no actual looking on the spec sheets!
What I am wondering is if anyone else has the same alloys as me and if they do, could they take a picture of one of them around the valve hole to prove that the metal vavle sheath IS standard and send me it so I can include this in my evidence - also, has anyone had trouble with corrosion and these alloys?
Anything would be appreciated! I've got a feeling i'm gonna be screwed over! I've put a link to a couple of pics of them and my corsa below. Thanks!
