^ Looking at that, i don't even know if its still forsale, im going to ring them in the morning....

But I think they're nice cars, cheap to insure and bomb proof.

What problems do they come with, anything I should look out for if I go and see it?

Im aware this is a corsa forum, but this is "GENERAL" car chat

Thankssss

I wouldn't get a mk4 polo, not when they are almost identical to the mk2 ibiza which is normally half the price of its VW sister.

Same engines and running gear, i have one on the driveway now. Under the bonnet everything is stamped with VW lol

That is an AEX engine for all you dub buffs, 1.4 8v 60bhp

rear arch rust is common

dents and dips in bodywork are common due to cardboard panels

Engines are solid and live forever mind

Yeah, but there was a recall, so don't worry

IIRC, the 1.4 16v gearboxes are chocolate? (JR?)

Another bonus is they hold their value extremely well.

Definitely go for a facelift one like that though. 1.2 is really gutless!

I really do like the look of that and as deano said they will hold their value better than other cars of the same class.

I would have a GTi

Infact if a Black 3door GTi comes up within the next few months at a decent price I may have to lose the Golf
