Just noticed that there is a recall on them as steering failure could happen. Though I guess owners would be contacted by Vauxhall if there is a problem with thier car and it needs to be re-called, but I thought I'd post this anyway just incase

You can't "loose" control of a car.

There is loads of recalls on them mate, i get all the teach sheets trough at work.

I have seen about 5 different pretty serious problems so far but you get that with all new cars.

Since 2000 Honda have had 132 recalls.

VW have had less than 30.

was reading up about the problems that polo 6n gttdi's have as I am buying one.

among the 'serious common problems' were:

cupholders sieze
steering wheel squeeks
seat bases creak
doors click when fully opened

9n Dave, they didn't do a diesel 6n GTi, they didn't even do a petrol 6n GTi

dont think the one I am getting has heated seats, if it does I will just wear a flame retardent suit and stig helmet, or just pull the fuse out.
