right my car hasnt been goin like it shud, and hasnt started a few times in the last couple of weeks, anyway today while the car was running i unplugged the MAF and nowt happened revs didnt drop nothing....

so is it the MAF that causing the prob?

not necessarily because when you unplug it the ecu replaces its signal with a pre programmed signal for 'normal' running conditions.

o right, hmmm cos i unpluged it last week and the revs did drop alot.

might have a luk to the vw garage an get em to plug the computer in and see
