As some of you might have read in post before I may be getting this clio. The first pic is how it is if i get it. The second pic has tints and lowered 40mm and the 3rd is tints and lowered 60mm.

Now I know people say i shouldnt touch the setup but i do prefer the look of it lowered. It surely cant be worse handling than my 1.2 8v lol.

If i was to lower it 40mm or even 60mm will the comfort of the drive be really bad? Because at the moment on my corsa I have 16" low profile tyres lowered 60mm Fk coilovers and the ride is very very harsh so bad i cant sometimes go places and rattles the car to fuck. Which is one reason why i am selling.

So does lowering any car do this??

Yes you will fuck what comfort there is up by lowering it, especially on them wheels. They are quite stiff as standard.

they handle fine if you just change the springs decent -40mm.

Mines standard ride hight but my mates whos is 40m lower still retains a decent ride quality whilst having the sleak lower look your after.

so you think I should only buy 40mm springs?

If i was to get 60mm springs and got some good quality shocks then would that be ok? Is it mostly about the quality of the shocks?

It should be fine mate but remember, renault built this car to be the best hot hatch, they spent far more than any suspension company on the development and testing of the OE equipement.

Id take the 17's off, add some 16 speedlines from the clio cup and then drop it on the springs stu mentioned, it will look lush and out handle most cars on the road. TBH though since iv had mine im not bothered about racing other cars and seeing what i can beat, i enjoy the car for what it is and that something that puts a massive smile on my face whenever i cain it round the counrty lanes where i live

I'm not going to be racing it and I know deep down i'll want that low look like the 3rd pic. If i ever had bit of fun with another car would probs be straight line any way. If its better than my 1.2 8v corsa then im happy.
