I've just been reading this thread and now realise that this has to be my next mod.

I'm getting fed up with 3 year olds on their trikes overtaking me round corners

Do you recomend getting one for the front? Coz on another thread people have put No, remove the front. But that is with Coilovers which i don't have yet.

stops the back end stepping out???? my back end has NEVER stepped out, feels abit light sometimes, but you can still turn in tighter

can see it making much difference, when i fitted a GSI arb to mine at the front, that made better turnin, feels much better with that

i dont think so, not 100% sure though

strut braces makes handling better too

deffently worth it

what suspenion have you got? my spax coilovers are great, nice smooth ride, yet still corners well, much better than fixed kits

Spax RSX rear dampers with 60mm springs. Vauxhall front dampers Eibach 30mm springs.

get a decent -60mm front end, then will handle better

I'm thinking on some GAZ coilovers. Coz it's going to be used for the track, comfort isn't anywhere on my list.

if you can make it round roundabouts with out crashing, then id say they must work as you cant drive at all

im just saying, people are saying stops the back end coming out. And im stating my back end has never come out, so cant see what it is doing

My car handles great as it is, ask JR

just cant see what stiffening the back end up will do, when its the front end that needs improving around corners

see id say the same, ive never had the back end step out and i push that car fairly damn hard aswell and i have no whiteline, i think people make it up personally. mostly people that wouldnt be able to comment on handling of a car as they have no idea what theyre on about, other than trying to justify the 100 odd quid they spent on nothing to themselves

I think it's coz your car is very low. I can almost get lock to lock on the motorway and it still goes straight.

But i am going to get these ARB's (F and R) and strut braces (F and R).

I have seen somewhere a lower front strut brace. Does anyone have have of these?

my car isnt low anymore, its pretty high up actually if anyting, handles far far better.

generally from what i learned of this experience, really low = slow

For example.......

If i thought i could take a corner at 60 mph and i thought that was as much as my car will take otherwise i'm in the ditch again (long story).

But then only fitted fitted the rear ARB and i could now do 60 mph and feel safe but still doing the same speed.

I'd rather feel safe.

i find with the car higher up i get better grip round corners

Interesting. Is that because the camber isn't affected? I would have thought that a lower centre of graverty would have made the car handle better.

BTW i'm still learning all this.

yeah i see what your saying, but id say most of it is you believeing this 100 quid spent is making your car handle far better when it actually isnt, ie you are justifying buying it and thinking its handling better when really its probably no different. id spend money on making the front end of a car grip better round corners personally

ask yourself this, out of all those saying its great, how many consistently do track days, or you would feel have enough experience of hard driving through corners to make judgement on a cars handling?

thats all i think about it. ive never had a problem with back end going out at all and mine light.

this is what i think, not saying its true, i could be wrong
