police clocked me at 142mph last night, and charged me at travelling over a distance of 2miles with an average speed of 104mph,
they followed me on a rural unlit road for 10miles with their headlights off,
i dont need people telling me how stupid i am as i already know i shouldnt of travelled at that speed,
banned, for 6 or 12 months, i have to wait till court to find out how long
gutted

police were dangerous driving though if they had o lights on in the dark
one rules for us, another for them
hope everything works out for you though, 14mph is a good achievment in my eyes, albeit you were caught, we all speed every day of our lives whther its 1mph over or 80

a mate of mine turned his headlights off going onto a industrial estate, and the copper said if that was on a public road i could have given you three points for it, so yes, its illegal

well i'd say so rob, ill be telling my solicitor as it will be apparent in the video evidence that they had no lights on
doesnt alter the fact i was breaking the speed limit though

Its the only point you've got going for you which may have an effect on the outcome in court so definatley worth a mention, cant get you in any more shit.
The road was obviously clear and you were only putting yourself at risk at them speeds and to be fair if they only clocked 2miles then it was a short blast, but if you did see lights of any shepe of form then id assume you'd have reduced your speed. so someone following with no lights on is wrong, but then your offence is wrong also. Its a tricky one

you cant get charged if the police car isnt legal, so if they have there lights off the car is not legal for the night time

142 mph on a rural road will result in a large shafting.
But good luck
