Purchasing a c20let corsa on the weekend, was originally a 1.6 GSi, has a front strut brace, just wandering what I can do to increase the strength of the chassis's etc, dont want a roll cage tho.. what have people most commonly used??

Dont know on the make, but it seems a pretty good fit when I looked at it, what else could i do to strengthen the car, rear strut brace? anti-roll bars?

i think you can get plates to weld in the engine bay that make it stronger? or is that Novas?

Know you can get plates, not sure if I have the time to get the engine out, etc to get it done!

you can get them for corsa's aswell. Think Chris Ashley motorsport sells them

Seen those before, but that would mean taking the whole engine out, need something that is fairly easy to do/bolt on, will think about the plates if engine needs to come out for any reason!

depends what you want the car to do

Chassis plates welded in - cheap
stich weld....
Thicker ARB's


BUT the most effective would be a properly triangulated cage

Just want the chassis to be more supported, its only a road use, but just to make sure its all good and strong!

Would prefer a stronger chassis really, just to make sure it handles well on the road, etc

Oh right, looked around and looking at this product now - Whiteline Anti-Roll Bars VAUXHALL Corsa B 4/94-00 incl GSi dosent say anything bout Holden / Barina so all good!
