hold the ball. move your wrist in a wanking motion. build up the RPMs. it will get heavier, and give good tention and resistance on the muscles in yuor forearm.

Like he said, spin the ball and the gyro inside spins faster and faster, making it heavier and heavier. Its not about weight lifting, because while its getting heavier, you're still trying to spin it. Wanking is an alternative excercise however
