I dont think so, would cost £1800 for my car, would save me (roughly) £600 on fuel.

I think its RON rating is something high like 114.

So if you can raise the compression ratio then it will fly........

Hear about that new Corsa 1.3 Diesel? £35 Tax and you don't have to pay the congestion charge!

According to TV a regular commuter travelling to Laaandon every day can save enough money to pay for the car within 4 years!

Both. You still use petrol till the car warms up, or at least you used to.

Plus in an accedent the LPG tank is safer. It's not made of tin/plastic or under your car.

yeah, i don't use my boot so i wouldn't miss it, as i suppose alot of people wouldn't, definately worth it if you're planning on keeping it for more than the 3 years and you have a handy enough station to get the fuel from

its pointless in a wee car unless you keep it for ages.

If i was to buy a big 4x4 petrol car i'd look for a pre LPG converted one.

Also - why pay for something when you can prob save 70% by just buying another car with it predone.

Astra 2.2 seems to drink a fair bit of fuel, plus u always need to spend money to save money and I dont have space for another car as I live in a flat with one parking space!

My mate has a buic with a 6.8 litre engine in thats converted to LPG. It has a 100litre tank in the boot. He said theres no loss in performance and it saves him loads of money every week.
