currently my car stands like this

im thinking of getting a loan to get it finished. im thinking get my gsi front and skirts sprayed and fitted (been quoted £150 for spraying black) 1.6 fitted (quote:£1000) new petrol tank fitted by myself (£90) then was thinking a new suspension set up (£400) and a inlet and exhaust manifold for a bit more power (not sure on a price)

or should i just find a 1.6 sport/gsi and transfer my wheels and interior over?

i'm sure £1000 is a bit steep to get a 1.6 fitted but second option would perhaps work out cheaper. but then theres finding a decent one.

It'll also go wrong more and cost more to insure, as well as not being as good.

What ever you do, I would never suggest getting a loan out for a car etc.. Ive always lived by the rule "if you cant afford it, dont have it" in the long run, i'd say save and see what crops up in the mean time

You need to live down south mate

Sport option would probably be better, But your current one might be more personal to you and you might want to carry on now you've started.
