Mattk id drop a 1.1 gearbox in thier too. They make a massive difference to acceleration

1.1 gearbox slowed my mates cammed Gti down alot.

MattK saxo's dont respond well to extra wieght so i wouldnt worry about it to much .

A cammed 16v would need the longer gears, a 1.6 8v probably would benefit from a 1.1 gearbox. Or even a S1 rallye box.
