Got told emissions light was on..running in safe mode..fair enough..knew it was a dodgy lambda easily replaced!
so paid £160...£160 more than quoted n left..car rans fucking shite..and the speedo doesnt work!!
i wasnt told this, only realised as i got down the road!,
I thought it was speed sensor..checked...thats fine!
proper annoyed about the service from v-tuning...they didnt tell me anything only that it was all ready to go! its not! at all! its undriveable...
u think i should get on their case and get them to finish the job i supposedly paid for?

i can only think its an honest mistake on the speedo
with regards to the lamba, if it was fucked, they wouldnt have quoted for it in the orginal job, once they had it wired in, and a fult appreard because of a faulty unit, then IMO, the price of the part will be added on
just my IMO, ring them and ask about the speedo though

I can understand your frustration but what I dont understand is why you drove away in the car that was undrivable (your own words) and felt it necessary to continue the journey and go home only to post your feelings on the net.
would it not have been more sensible to turn round and take the car back to them

well i was gonna replace lambda when i got in...so braved it home...and presumed speedo was just the sensor disconnected..!
after driving 2 1/2 hours to get there. and starting my journey home in hindsight i should have thought sod it n gone back...was a very hectic day so thought it was a mere minor probs i could resolve myself! I planned on changing lambda n reconnecting the speed sensor(what i thought the problem was) and it was all sorted!
JR, they havent replaced the lambda, they in fact didnt say that was the problem, i knew it was as it was the 1.2 one not the 1.8 one i needed!
just feel a bit let down really. I was at regal yday n they attempted tech 2 but it couldnt read it propely, they said to me that the wiring was a mismatch etc...obv thats probs regal bs tho

maybe you should see what Vtuning say about the matter first and give them the opportunity to put it right, sending 2 emails says to me that you havnt actually tried to contact them properly.

my mate has never had a problem with v-tuning, its just down the road and only hear good things.
to b fair most companies dont check emails out of work hours, also as my dad owns a garage, you cant predict things that will go wrong you can only fix what you know is broken.

from what i have heard its shocking that chaz wasn't told the speedo didn't work and the car is in the safe mode still with problems
how they give the car over knowing there are serious faults, surely they took it round the block to see if all their hardwork on the car was ok?
