my mates mgzr 105 is quicker than my corsa sport, i get that its got like 15 more bhp than mine but what can i do to get it as fast as his, its not that far off so im sure a few engine mods will do it, i currently have a s/s cat-back peco exhaust system, & will be ordering a k&n 57i & a magnex de-cat pipe next week.. think this will do the job? any other suggestions?

Forget the K&N and go for a Viper/Mamba.

Why does it need to be quicker than his? lol He has a completely different car that's quicker anyway.
If you manage to get your Corsa quicker than your friend, he might do stuff to his car to make it quicker. Then what you going to do?
My suggestion's are..
Tune your car to as powerfull as you can with a budget instead of tuning to beat a friends car.
Fit a bigger engine
Buy a new car
I dont mean to be nasty with my comment but its pretty silly just trying to tune your car to beat a friends.

change the peco, for either sebring or janspeed, inc manifold. pipercross viper, exhaust wrap to keep things colder, then strip it, as thats the easiest way to gain time...

£500 will get you a good condition 1.6 16v engine, with change tp spare for sopme mods to tune! I dont know what though.
But you will see bigger gains tuning a 1.6 rather than a 1.4 for the money!

dbilias inlet manifold, superchip, remap full exhaust system induction kit and a suspension kit and youll kill it.
my corsa kills type rs anyway round the bends and its only a 1.4 16v sport lol tunin mine to rally spec bein as they really are widely used in the rallying.
theres a fairly new type r round cannock way tht i regularly race hes always up 4 it his car only just pulls away from mine lol.
oh and i get alot of slateing of my 1.4 engine like laughin at me i show them how funny it is lol by eating vts saxos round the islands.
