I have a 1.6 Sport standard but im surprised at its top end, it gets to bout 115 and then wont seem to go any further, the rev counter stays on exactly the same revs. I had my g/f in the car and a boot full of wood for my boot build, is this correct or could it have been limited coz i have an incling it was used as some sort of company car. Its most prob just coz i was expecting more and the wight in the car i was just wondering.

Mine would never rev beyond about 5500rpm in 5th, until I had the remapped ECU.

Loads, it would pull all the way to the 7200rpm rev limit then I'm not sure a remap on a standard engine would do much though, it needs to be to compliment other mods, like inlet/exhaust/4 branch etc.

My sport had this problem. A mantzel helped, and the de-cat helped a bit more.
