Well it’s the end of a small era- the Mauve Monster has been sold (as most of you know)! Laura (her new owner) came to pick her up on Saturday 23rd June 2007- was supposed to be the Sunday but due to her partners work commitments we decided to reschedule. So a bit of a mad rush getting back from Ascot to clean her inside and out one last time, as well as take her for one last drive. And how quickly did that time fly by indeed!
I do have to say that it was incredibly strange and sad to see a complete stranger drive off in a car that has got so many amazing memories attached to it and has been a big part of my life for nearly eight years. And I am still getting used to seeing the empty space in the garage too!  But I know Laura will look after the Mauve Monster as well as I have, if not better. She’s hoping to take her to some of the shows in the future and possibly has a few things planned as well so I look forward to seeing them at some point!

So just need to get my new car now Have pretty much already made my mind up as to what I’m getting as I’ve test driven a couple already.... Just need to find the right one to fill up the empty garage space  So watch this space!

I shall miss her parked up outside my house when you drive to mine before we walk to work together. Told the neighbours you'd sold her the other day and they said they're going to miss being woken up by the loud exhaust when you draw up early in the morning

Yes I was thinking about your neighbours earlier. Do you remember when my car was really dirty that time, drove to your and went to work and came home to find it sparkling clean?! It was a mystery for a good week until the old boy confessed that he washed it for me cos he hated seeing it looking dirty, bless him!
And as for what car I'm getting next, you'll have to wait and see Only a few people off here know and want to keep it that way for the time being until I've got it
