in the past week I have had.....

the wrong item sent to me, then only refunded the amount I paid for it, not the postage for it OR the postage I had to pay to send it back, lost out on £10 for their mistake

someone say they sent me something back as it did not work (after about 8 weeks of having it) and nothing has ever turned up at my house - think they are trying to pull a fast one but £175 at stake. It was a brand new phone and worked 100%

someone saying something i sold them is fake and they want their money back becuase they tried to sell it on ebay again as they did not fit and got their account suspended

someone send me half a bird cage from germany (cost me £60 delivery!) and 3 quarters of it is missing and they dont want to know! lost £200 if they wont send me another one or at least the bits I am missing!!!

sick sick sick

I've had no hassle through hundreds of transactions until this week

Paid for something straight away through paypal 9 days ago and the seller has not returned any of my emails or messages, he has never once got in touch..He's got till saturday then dispute with ebay and paypal will be started..

Sent a jacket 6 days ago 1st class and buyer still has not received it?? I have my proof of postage but he is expecting a refund? what to do? Not officially lost in the post till 14 days have past say the PO..She had the cheek to say to me, you post quite alot and only one thing gone missing is not too bad..I DON'T expect anything to go missing FFS....

I'm sure you can't start a dispute until after 30days, Mav. The worst bit of it is, if you leave them negative feedback and they do the same, there's no way on earth you will be able to get ebay to remove it. I was on the phone to them and everything when the same happened to me as i was so pissed off

Paypal is bad, very bad.

Ebay is slightly better, but still bad.

I use neither.

30 days, thought it was 10 days.....

It might turn up and the seller is just an ignorant cunt as his feedback is ok..But he expected payment straight away whay the fuck should i wait 9 days +...

I've never had a problem with paypal yet...

ebay went down the tubes as soon as people started paying more for a used item on ebay than a brand new one from a quick google.

I still use it for some stuff though and always have a look just incase.

Well, my mrs paid by cheque because the seller didn't accpet paypal (surprise surprise). So we couldn't get our money back with paypal like you potentially could. If I remember correctly tho, we did have to wait 30days before we could open the dispute. Just try and open one now, it'll come back and say "you must wait X amount of days...".

i have already shut down one pay pal account due to someone messing me about

the thing is, 3 of the above mess ups are from being with 2000+ feedback

i dont want to leave negative as they will do the same

eBay has been fine for 132 transactions so far and then these all go crap in a short space of time!!!

always offer postage insurance, that way "if" it goes missing in the post they will either:
be able to claim throught the insurance
or
Not moan because they didnt insure it

Exact same happened to me, I sold my old Sub Woofers on ebay for £255, the guy paid with paypal and came to collect.

3 months later the charge was reversed leaving my paypal -£255.

After over a year of debt collectors hassling me and many letters to the financial ombudsman, ive finally won my case and paypal have paid off the debt themselves.

so a big FU to paypal

how can 3 months later paypal take the money off you???

Surely there is a law against it?

Why would they even take it after 3 months ?? don't understand how it works?

Surely they have to consult with you 1st before just taking the money out?
