Following on form my other thread. Am i legally aloud to swap bits over and remove stuff out of my car before the insurence company comes and collects it to take it to the garage?
Currently it is sitting on my drive and so surely is still my property?
Im just thinking of removing the sound system and swaping the rear bumper over?
Im sure some of you have been in this situation before

i've taken off the stuff i haven't declared but left tints+exhaust+alloys on as i can't get tints off easily, only got the one exhaust and someone took a pic with alloys on, but i will probably take alloys off after assessor comes to look at it so he knows why i changed them

Yea, u get the option 2 keep the car. I did anyway. So all parts can be recovered. But as kurt says, you just cant trust some ppl. So id take of all easily removeable parts!

Its still yours until you're paid out. It would also ensure that you keep the bits.

I'd take anything off that you want and if they query it say you still have the parts but you didnt want them on the car when it went to be assesed in case they were damaged etc..
