Hey everyone,

Just got back from holiday today to find that my £50 shed that i got befor i went away has had the bonnet prised open and the dataplate and batery stolen

Now my question is, can i MOT the car without this dataplate ??/? if i cant can i get a new one made ???

Mines not got one, fell off ! Ive taxed it, MOT'd it and its all still valid!

thats it i meen the VIN plate sorry guys lol, yeah the one in your engine bay next to the bonnet catch hole.

hummm ok then i was just worried incase i spent a fortune doing my project to find out i cant MOT it without the VIN plate.

The VIN number is still onthe dash and on the chassis under a little flap on the plastic door sills.

should you report it as stolen? strange to steal it unless its going to be used on a dodgy car?

I agree with topshot that they must have a use for it, maybe even cloning your cars identity onto another...

Should definately seek advice about it imo.

i belive he means the vin plate...

YOU NEED TO REPORT THIS AS STOLEN IT WILL BE USED FOR CLONING OR RINGING ANOTHER VEHICLE!!!!!!
