I've been buying my hair wax from Boots for about 4 years now and everytime they ask if I have a reward card I say no and never bother to accept one. I've just been there now and again said I never had one then realised ive missed out on over £20 of money off vouchers! Got me signed up for one of those bad boys
Store cards are worth having after all

You on about a savings card?
I'm thinking of getting one to be honest, you get one point for every £1..
My mum has about £50, and usually spends it on perfume etc at christmas..

lol they only give you cards so that they can monitor your spending habits and then sell that information to other companies

it also encourages you to be a return customer to their store so you can earn the points, which is more important to them than selling off spending habits which you can opt out of anyway!

See I don't mind any of that.
The Shell Plus Points/Optimax/V-Power/Drivers Club Card offers really crappy rewards - 1 point for ever litre bought and 1000 points equals a £10 voucher. So the incentives are really poor but as I'm buying fuel anyway its no hardship for me to hand over the card whilst I'm paying.
Same with the Nectar card, I hardly ever go in Sainsburys and when I do I only spend a few quid but I may as well get the points!
