Yeah I want to do something with it but don't have the time or really enough publicity or interest for it to be successful straight away.
One day I might have a launch party track day or something as a little spin-off CS project open to all track-worthy cars. Kind of sister club type arrangement but share the hosting and offline costs.
It'll be lovely

Ive been eagerly anticipating it for a long time. I think alot of CS members could use it in order to break away and talk about track cars and related subjects elsewhere especially with regards to this being purely a corsa website.

Maybe the next CS track day JR organises should be pimped about as a weekendracer.co.uk even on some other forums?

Brands, or snetterton for us northeners? Not that thats close either
Dont think Cadwell is a good track for beginners.... i'm a bit nervous to take the skyline on it just now :/

I think JR would probably favour Brands as he lives 23 metres away from it

Cadwell is a Fantastic track. It's the 1st (and olny so far) track that i have been round. But that was in a mates £50 Astra mk2 1.8 SXi. Little price difference to a skyline

He might not though, there hasn't been any discussion about it AFAIK, he might want to try somewhere else

At the start bit it's very greasy at the begining of the day. And thats the area where there is the least amount of run off.
I think it's coz of the trees right next to the track.
It's still not going to stop me giving my car death

Cadwell looks like a great little circuit, but as said, I dont fancy coming off there.
Maybe get two track days on the go, one for each end of the country,

true..... but the site needs to be up and running for that though
Ian - pull the finger out
When i spoke to MSV on the phone they asked if i'd be interested in organising a trackday (like JR's brands one)..... so i've just put a post up on my site to see if anyone is interested in Oulton Park Late August/September time.
Scotland really needs another track Knockhill... erm... Knockhill and ... knockhill

I agree, I think the site needs to be 'live' before you can really say "come to our trackday" or it wouldn't get much of a response.
Maybe if it went live to people on here for a while, to get a few posts, then went live live, if that makes sense?
Either way, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make it work, there's enough people out there who do the trackdays, so there must be enough to have a healthy memberlist and offline presence.

I think it needs to go live first and the track days/s to be the first main feature on the site with lots of time before the event for everyone to hear about it. A small feature of the event in track and race car or PPC would be a great way to open the site or even a small advert in the magazines. I can see such a site would have much widespread appeal.
