I know it depends on the condition and treatment of the engine but I was wondering what sort of mileage x14xe engines can get to before causing bother?
Mines on 98,000 at the moment and I haven't had any real bother with it. Just wondering what's going to happen after 100k. Also, will the value of the car depriciate steeply after 100k miles? I personally wouldn't even think of buying a car with more miles than that.

100k wud devalue it quite a bit i think cos its a corsa at the end of the day - wud be a different story if it was a bmw etc. I wudnt be interested in buying a corsa with over 70k on it. Mine only has 40k and its a bucket of shite already

I had an X14XE that had 127k. Still ran the same as my mates who had 80k tbh. Depends on the treatment/servicing of the engine

my x14xe has done 102k now, headgasket went 1k ago but i have done about 45k in mine and thats the only problem i have had,
my bro has a x14xe aswell and his has done 60k and only had to change the lamba sensor, even though mines has 42k more miles than his, mines still quite a bit quicker
