It burns at 3000 c if i recall, can be unpredictable, and its not exactly safe

You can't extinguish it when it's lit.

Edit - I suppose you could in a vacuum, but it will burn under water.

My mate just told me about thermate, which apparently is more explosive than thermite, so Ive just bought some barium nitrate to mix in.
