how do you make a claim about our roads and who should i contact

hit a pot hole the other day down a back road and put a flat spot on my wheel

Get a local paper and take a picture of this next to the hole so you can see the date on it. Otherwise when you claim the hole may mysteriously dissapear and they deny all knowledge

Yeh thats the trouble. Theres nothing else really to use though that is as accurate as that. They cant really argue about the date on a printed paper. Any newspaper paper will do.

TBH corsa.v6 has more of a chance of winning if he provides pics and dates..

Fair enough the council could say that he hit a curb but can they prove that? are the council going to take a pic of every curb in that area or somthing? lol

how can he prove that it was done by the pot hole though.. he could of cause damage somewhere else,

and saw the pot hole, and though, i could use that and say i hit it, and it caused the damage...

whats to say it did, whats to say it didnt, guess it would be your word against theirs and tbh they cant really say they arnt in a state that needs repair

Very true, but when you buy a dress from a shop

and notice a rip on it and take it back.. they cant claim that you did it on puprose unless it clearly shows you have.

i know it doesnt realy have much reference to this but i reckon if corsa.v6 provides pictures with the wheel next to the pot hole with dates then he has a pretty good case.. the council will shit a brick and just pay to have the repairs done and also repair the road

my dad damaged two 18'' tyres on potholes and a couple of his 18'' ford alloys.

took pics of the pothole, where it is, pics with newspaper with it, then WROTE A LETTER, don't phone them.

make a copy of the letter too and keep any letters they send back.

if they ask for proof, you have it.

my dad got compensation this way
