Hey...

I posted a thread about a localish rally a few days ago with a video of a jump in it. A few people have probably seen some pics of a scooby getting some serious air. I've just seen the video of it so I'm going to post up the pics and vid below for people to see.

Pics...

Extract taken from Motorsport News about the jump...

Former Scottish Rally Champion Barry Johnson was taken to hospital after landing from this massive jump on stage five of the Jim Clark International Rally on Saturday.

Spectators on the Letham stage suggested Johnson's Subaru Impreza WRC reached a height of 3.6 meters and travelled as far as 60 meters in the air before landing heavily.
"I've seen the video footage of the jump" said Johnson. "I couldnt believe it when i saw it. I wasn't having a good run, so we were on a bit of a push. We hit the rev limiter just before the jump, probably at around 137mph."
Both Johnson and his co-driver Stewart Merry were winded when the car hit the ground, while Johnson suffered three crushed vertebrae.
"Then all the shockers burst when we landed so the oil came out of the car and it went on fire" said Johnson. "But this hasn't put me off my rallying. I'm going for some massage soon and hoping to feel a lot better in a few weeks.
"We've also sent someone to measure how far we actually did jump incase we've set a record. We're sure we're not that far off it. It was certainly a long jump."
In February this year, Rally America Championship front-runner Ken Block set a record for the longest ever accurately recorded rally car jump after flying more than 50 metres in his Group N Subaru Impreza.

Here's the video of the jump, if you look to the right in the vid you will see the guy who took the pics...
