Steering is a lot heavier on the coupe. Also there's a big difference performance wise between the 1.6 and 1.8. My mothers 1.6 sxi feels flat compared to my 1.8 coupe.

yeh insurance is to much on the 2.2. is there any decent engine mods for these 2 cars or are the best left alone?

i have a 1.8 sri hatch. to start, a simple mod to do is buy a vectra c intake and a decent panel filter. you'll notice abit better throttle response and smoother acceleration for not much mney.
