How well do these engines hold out under heavy use?

I usually partake in a local autotest, which is going to be alot of high revs, heavy engine braking etc.

Don't wanna kill the run around for the sake of a few hours fun...

Should be fine, my 1.4 8v takes heavy use most sundays and sometimes during week days, not had problems with it should be fine IMO.

My SRi was abused sometimes! Never missed a beat and even after a heavy impact front end started first time of the key Bulletproof!
