Basically I had a problem with the bluetooth handsfree thing on my car. It has gone really really quiet. Basically you press a Windows button on the steering wheel and it gives you voice command over stuf blah blah blah... When you press the button it asks you what you want to do and you can't hear it.
Took the car into Fiat and they said they needed my phone to test it. I told them that they could use any phone they like on the system to test it and they said that was ok. I also explained that you didn't even need a phone to see the problem.
Phone them back in the afternoon because the fuckers didn't bother phoning me back even though they said it would only take an hour. They said that they could only test it on thier diagnostics as they didn't have my phone to test it on. Idiots. I then asked them if they physically tested it pressing the button, the guy wriggled around the answer but I eventually found out they didn't and they wanted my permission (which I had already given them) to hook up another phone to it. No idea why they needed that anyway.
This was also after they didn't take my plate down properly, didn't even get anything close to my name, in fact the guy just made something up.
Oh, and here's the best bit, the guy then seemed to think that the control module for the PAS could be at fault. Errr, I don't know a lot about modern cars, but I really don't think that sounds right.
Summery: Don't trust people in dodgy Fiat garages in the ghetto of Birmingham with long hair to do anything regarding repairing your car.
