What is a personal statement for?? Dont you just use a CV like everyone else??

reed want me to provide a cv which i have done and then they want me to have a personal statement and list of skills and that aswell

i know, ive spotted a job i like the look of aswell but theres already 3 applicants and the jobs only been on the site a day so ive gotta make my application as good as possible
