here is a wiring diagram for the 1.0 to XE conversion.
as you can see. 3 wires need cutting: brown blue (ECU light) Green (tacho) Blue (coolant temp). when cut feed back through and thats the so called hard part over.

its a single black wire that comes out by the distributer i think
