OK, I have finally given in. I used to think that I only need my trusty map book to figure out where I am going, but now I have seen the light and decided that I should get a Sat Nav thingie for my car.

Could anyone recomend me one which costs about £100 odd please. Maybe going up to £150.

Do they all come with post code input now too? I need that if possible too

Oh, I have a Nokia N73 I think. I can get TomTom for that can't I? Has anyone used it like that before? Wouldn't the screen be a bit small?

Yes, but I dont recommend it for the Nokias. I had it on my N70 and it dropped out LOADS - screen isa touch on the small side as well! Get a low end Garmin, packed full of features, and you can upload the cameras.

Dont go fore any real cheap navmans, they work but are very basic, like no postcode searching etc.

Cool, well that was simple. I found out that PC World and Currys have them for sale for £159.99 on the web as opposed to £179.99. Whats better too is you can reserve the stock online and go to the store to collect and pay the web price. Too bad I have to drive to the PC World in Kiddeminster as the ones in Brum are out of stock

i dont see how it can be pointless as if you have the phone free on contract only cost £50 at most inc tom tom and the gps reciever to make it work

because you end up carrying 2 devices. The same as carrying a phone and a proper satnav device with a larger visable screen.
