Nooo

Its got to be the Regions to win!

'Best Quality of Cars in the region' won't work as everyone will have different opinions!

If you want to do a competition, then the voting should be done either by a pre selected few people (judges) or by all the OWNERS of corsas on the stand.

Having a few people who know Corsas well would be good for the judges...

Or, the drivers of each corsa gets a form and a scoring system, and those people go round and judge on what they think

The only problem with that, is someone needs to collect and add up all the scores at the end. Much easier if its between 3-5 judges.

Then give a score out of 10 for various parts set into categorys like..

Engine bay
Bodywork condition
Bodykit
Interior
Audio system
Arches and underside of car.

sounds good to me that does. i like the idea of the voting slips, but as you say a bit too much work for one person. judges is a good idea, but will have to nominate 3 or 5 people to do the honour.

Its how the shows in Europe have been judged, and also regional VXLSCC meets.

People can "nominate" on here in advance, then a poll to confirm the 3-5 judges. Then they can do it on the day (if they wanted to).

All you need now is some trophies.

So you could have various categories.

Best overal car (see above categories).
Best engine bay
Most extreme bodystyling
Most Subtle bodystlying
Best "track" orientated car
Best Paint
Best interior.

How much money you got to spend on trophies......?

Or, you could limit it to the people that actually want to be part of it.
I.E do a charge of £5 to cover anyone who wants to enter. Payment should cover a few trophies, im sure Ians got plenty in the bank for CS to buy the others...

Can you tell I wanted to do this when i was gonna start my own club

ive been to a VXLSCC meet and they didnt do it there perhaps us in the ea region are boring, or the guy with the yellow hyandai lotus C20LET belmont would win all the time

im sure there are funds in the bank to subsidise things like this...but if there isnt i wouldnt mind paying a 5er to have a chance of a bit of national recognition.....it would also make a good mag feature too!

id like to see what ian and the organisers think.

I didn't do anything on region size as NWNW would have won again.

Best car we need judges for as suggested. If we can staff it and come up with a system then prizes are no bother.

The way it worked when i was showing at Billing last year with Club Irmscher was everyone was given a form and you listed your top 3 cars, whoever got the most votes won. This was only for one catergory which was obviously best car on the stand.

If you wanted to split it into simliar categories just do it the same way with people listing their top 3 in each section. I think its better for it to be voted for by the members as it should make it fair and you would know what the majority of members liked.

as said earlier, one or two people have to spend time counting the votes. ive never been to pvs before, and dont know if someone could spare a couple of hours distributing, collecting and counting vote slips.

Hmmm, I think mine would get a -10 for that
