My corsa sport with the C16XE still has terrible emissions and i think its burning oil. I have been working out some prices and to change the piston rings its going to cost me £332 in parts!

Is it worth fixing this engine that calidus put into the car....or should i find an X16XE like the car used to have and drop it in?

The car is beautiful, but i have had nothing but trouble with it since i bought it

Didnt cost me that much to do the rings.

Don't forget though - if you buy another engine, the rings, bores, tappets could be fucked in that too.

It came with no engine when he had it.

An X16XE would mean a whole new engine loom and ECU, and you'd want to rebuild it anyway, to be safe.

Don't pay Vauxhall prices, you can get the bits cheaper elsewhere, even if you do get trade price

if you keep the c16xe manifolds, theres no need to change loom/ecu is there?

and yes vauxhall prices are very expensive, even at my price (cost + 10%)
