one point to note is that if your engine oil warning light comes on - do something about it immediately - as in right there and then! literally 15miles or so after Clare's came on ; it needed a new engine!

as live lee said keep your eye onthe oil, becuase i went down the road in my sisters to fill up for her and it started knocking, i took it to the garage right away but was too late the bottom end had fooked, becuase it had no oil. " The oil light was NOT on either"

the zetec engines are known for burning alot of oit too.

Best to keep a check on your oil anyway, not relying on lights etc...

who says its only zetecs that use oil mine uses a bit

Vauxhall engines meant to use a litre every 1000 miles i think it is..

I've bought 1l of oil when I bought my car. Have done 9k miles, and still have 0.5l of oil left, so, bang goes that idea

My girlfriend had a 1.4 16v Zetec engine in her Fiesta and the same thing has happened. No oil light either. Engines aren't cheap either.

Just accept whatever they throw at ya, my mate was doing 59 in a 30, pleaded guilty but said he'd lose his job if he go 6pts (in his first 2 years of driving just and a mechanic) he got 5 pts.

the speed was 70 in a 30.....stupidity i know, im deffo gonna lose it, but just how long for is the answer.
