so.... 1.9m lifting height.... and (for example) 1.34m skyline height = 2.24 roof height...

dunno if you can do this but could you dig it out a bit so you have like a slope down to the garage door, obvoisuly couldnt be to steep for low cars but if you did this it would look normal from the outside but give you more height inside although you would need a good drain in front of the doors to stop water getting in

not possibile to have the garage as a lean to roof, so low at one side high at the other?

This is a plan of the property....


The flat upstairs have already built a garage on their bit of land, it looks like just a normal single garage

Our bit of land by comparison looks to be a bit wider and a bit longer...

the garages on the lane seem to be either...I don't know how to explain it

....their roofs are either like this / \ or like this /l

You could do what Charlie from PPC mag did, he has a lean to and the roof goes up when the lift does

from memory the gardens are slightly higher than the lane and they all have a slight gradient up from the lane to the garages

As steep a roof pitch as you can get away with and rather than have it so the garage door is in the gable end have it turned so that the gable ends are the sides. That make sense? You should be able to fit one like that one you put pics up of with it like that.

ahhh... so have the slopes at the front/back....

Think that could be possible with the width we're thinking.

Need to consider truss design n shit to make use of the roof space in the peak though

yup... the roof would need to be steaper though....
I fancy building it in the full grass area so there is space at the back for a bench or some shit workshop kinda thingy

It all just depends on planning permission
