Well. as some of you might remember, I had a problem with my corsa (X16XE on steinmetz throttle bodies) as it the EML light was flashing and the engine wouldn't start.
Well, this was solved a week ago after 1 month and a half! The immobiliser that was by-passed in '99 (as the car didn't originally have one but an ECU with immo was fitted and it was by-passed), when it was converted from X14XE to X16XE on TB's, blocked the ECU again, after 8 years. And that happened when I took the car to a guy to fit a dastek unichip to my car and program it, so this couldn't be done.
A found a guy that reprogrammed it (the original ECU) and fitted an immo chip and by-passed it, so the car finally started!
Then the car ran out of battery, as it was left 1 1/2 month without being used. Changed it.
Then as I drove it home the fan didn't work, so it started smoking! Fixed it!
Then as I drove it to fit the unichip, the car was losing fluids from somewhere. So for the fourth time I had to cancel fitting the Dastek unichip to have the car checked from underneath, which will happen today.
Am I unlucky or what?

Part of the joys mate. My car dumped all of its coolant onto the Redbridge Flyover in Southampton on it's first road test.
Be patient - You'll get there

It was a coolant pipe... So the fluids were not oil but water-coolant, fortunately!
Booked it for Tuesday now (mapping the Dastek unichip)...fingers crossed! I hope nothing else happens until then! Wish me luck!
