I'm asking this for a very close friend of mine.

Has anybody undertaken this task?

How hard is it and do you have any tips?

Corsa?

Take the old rack out, put a non-pas one in, remove the pipework, new engine mount is needed too.

Rack is the hardest bit out of all of it, but it's doable in a day.

Tracking will need to be re-set.

Yeah its a Corsa. I'll be doing the same to my car later on in the year.

How hard is it to disconnect from the steering column?

Never done it myself, but presumably you just undo the bolts and tug it down and out and a 45 degree angle and it slips off...
