My astra got its rear end smashed into whilst i was sat waiting in traffic yesterday. Hell of a bang and looks like my car is a write off....

From peoples experiences.... if the rear spare wheel well is crumpled very bad (even the thick metal of the shell is crumpled on the boot floor).... is it instantly wrote off?

I wasn't being a Vulture Roberts I was trying to guess at if it'll be written off, if it's a £500 car, it would, if it's 900000, ot won't

Whats the book on one of them??

You've got to remember, 40% value is a write off so if its worth £4k - £1600+ worth of repairs would seal its fate. A boot floors going to take a fair chunk of that in labour alone!! I think its a goner!!
