just had some guy ring me up and the conversation went as followed;
me: hello
person:is dave there?
me: i think you have the wrong number
person: trust me mate i havent
me: well i dont know a dave
person: so whats your name
me: *puts phone down*

how random and weird then he phone rang again so didnt bother answering it and then someones just knocked on my front door.

someones stalking me lol.

I used to have a guy ring me all the time asking for Dave too

First time he left an answerphone msg, something about selling t-shirts and that he was waiting in the stands for me

Another was that the guy was delivering something to Edinburgh, and that I (being Dave) had to call him back

The guy once rang early morning & Rob answered saying 'no - this isnt Dave!!!!' pmsl

They do a competition on our local Radio called "Dave or no Dave" They ring random numbers and ask for Dave, the person playing has to guess before they call if they will be a Dave there or not. You might have just been on't Radio

on ouras they have a neil or no neil (with deal or no deal theme music) same idea though
