1.6 is better, a standard one will be cheaper to insure and quicker than a modded 1.4

yeah but i mean both modding wise.
i heard the inlet was restricted on the 1.4 as it was faster than the 1.6
although thats woord of mouth. hence why im looking for the better option

That's total bullshit TBH The 1.6 AND 1.4 both have restrictive inlets.
the 1.4 and 1.6 are equally tuneable BUT, a 1.4 with new inlet, exhaust and airfilter will be slower than a standard 1.6
It's basically not worth tuning the 1.4, unless you spend loads of money.

one thing though... say i got a new inlet for a 1.4 sport. then later when i could insure a 1.6 put that in. would the inlet still fit?
