Was a lovely evening yesterday, so decided to give the astra a proper clean

Gave it a good wash, used a clay bar then used some gold class wax which i have never used before ( didn't polish as i did it the other day ) and i'm really impressed with it .
The paint looks so shiney and it super smooth lol.

Also painted the calipers undersealed all the arches and fitted new mudflaps to keep all the tar off my paint.
The lights are starting to grow on me more now, but still looking for a set of standard wheels.

What have you done too it, It looks worse than it would of standard.

Revert to standard.

i haven't done anything this is how i brought it, minus the rear lights

It will be going to back to standard as soon as i find some wheels. Mite keep the front lights as they were an extra from vauxhall

front lights look shit imo.
Only mods on GSI's i'd do would be debadged grill and lower slightly, then focus on the engine.

You sure? I didn't think Irmy did those lights - hope not as they look hoorific - in my opinion.

Yeah i'm sure i've got the receipt from vauxhall when the car was brought and the headlights were an added extra.

they are irmscher fronts as the morretts had the little brow over the top...worth a fair bit and look mean as fook !

TBH Stavs standard GSi's DO look better overall - IMO
And Irmscher have soiled their textbook with those lights - horrific!

is it wrong to be diffrent these days ? you have to see them, pics dont do them justace ! when its behind you it looks so mean and would take a while to work out what it is ! if it had standard items with standard wheels it would be urm STANDARD never goin to get credit for a standard car...

ur right stavs, all everyone ever says is " I dont like this, I dont like that, do this do that" its not ur car too be bothered, If whoever owns the car is happy with how it looks well thats what theyer into and what they like, Why leave a car standard and be boring like everyone else, You modify a car too stand out and look different and unique!!!

This is not a jab or any criticism to the car above but to do with the statement about being "different." Whats the point being different if it looks shit? Pointless exercise IMO

I think the car looks good but I think the wheels look wrong, you will find 99% of the people who will post about this car apreciate how good it was as stock due to its limited number and with it being Red especialy it will attract the purists coments.

Post the same pics on Astrasport.ownersclub and it will be the same but not quite as harsh as on here and its a bit of a dictatorship as to what you can say on there

Nice car good power just needs the original snowflakes

Robin the Mrs has got my standard lights atm. I agree standard Gsi's do look great and i will be more than likely be getting smoked headlights at some point, but the amin priority at the moment it getting snowflakes
