Any reason why my laserline alarm has stopped making the audible beeping sounds whenever I lock/unlock the car? It worked before, now doesn't. Car still locks/unlocks as normal, just no sound. Sometimes instead of the sound I can hear a sort of static noise, hard to explain.
Should I check the connections going to the alarm? Any other suggestions?

May be the siren/speaker has just given up?
How old is it?
It could be the connections, it's worth checking.
How is the voltage on your battery?

i thought it might be the speaker.
Alarm comes as standard with the car so is 12 years old. I'll have a look under the bonnet tonight and see if there's anything out of the ordinary.
Battery voltage is fine.
