But, whats the point in paying extra for height adjustable, damping adjustable and all that when you don't use it. IMO.

we now do a 2 litre bilstein setup for corss that lowers 50mm all round using custom springs and bilstein sprintline dampers.
£450
far better than any cheap budget coilover setup.

sounds like a good set up but its a bit out of my price range. was hoping to get somthing for under £300 really. any1 got any ideas? fk coilovers are £325 so thats why i thought those would be the best choice.

FK coilovers. Make a decision based on what you want out of them really mate. If you want the car decked, get FK coilovers.

If you want the car to handle, get the Bilsteins.

Mine was on Apex Struts & Springs
Still as hell so hated pot holes but they dealt with the weight just fine.

well both kits are around £325-£350
bislteins will last forever, fk's will rust
bilstein are a premium quality motorsport spec damper. fk's are budget tat
Bilstein kit will come with the correct poundage spring for the c20xe. The fk's wont and will bounce around
Bilsteins will handle very very well, fk's wont, they will be harsh and feel cheap.
you decide

everything u have said about the fk's is utter bollox, i did 20k with my xe in, mine handled very well, never rusted, they do not feel harsh, neither cheap, and i know plenty of people who will agree!!

the argument about what is good and what isnt will go on for ever, people who have a paticular product will argue it is good etc...
thing is unless you have the opportunity to try lots of different kits on a daily basis and work on cars with these kits fitted and test drive them you cant comment on how good one is against the other.
fortunately I am in that position to be able to do the above, and I think FK are shite compared to other stuff. but yes, they are cheap.
